The Centre for Population Health (CPH) is a research centre focused on understanding how early life experiences shape health and wellbeing from pregnancy to young adulthood.
Who We Are
A New Vision for Population Health Research
A strong start in early life is crucial for a child’s development and long-term health. At the Centre for Population Health (CPH), we research how early experiences shape future well-being, from pregnancy to adolescence.
Our work focuses on maternal and infant health, child development, and the links between health and education. We engage directly with families and communities to ensure our research has a real-world impact.
Based at Swansea University within Population Data Science, we collaborate with leading organisations across the UK and internationally, including Cardiff University, the University of Edinburgh, HDR UK, ADR UK, Born in South London, Born in Bradford, and Public Health Wales. Together, we are driving evidence-based solutions to improve the health of children, young people, and families.
