CARELINK Wales has published two new reports exploring the experiences, conversations and real-world issues behind the project’s research into outcomes for vulnerable children in Wales.

The reports explore how lived experience has shaped the CARELINK Wales project, from influencing research questions and interpreting findings to identifying practical changes that could improve support for children and families. They also capture honest conversations with professionals across health, education and social care about what the research means in practice.

The first report focuses on public involvement throughout the project, showing how young people and parents challenged assumptions, added context to the data, and can be used to guide recommendations for policy and practice.

The second report brings together reflections from a stakeholder workshop examining issues including school attendance, healthcare use, placement stability and the long-term impact of early experiences.
